JPEG

PNG

AVIF
AVIF is a next-generation image format offering superior compression efficiency. It supports HDR, transparency, and both lossy and lossless modes. AVIF files are often 50% smaller than JPEG at equivalent quality. Browser support is growing rapidly, making it a future-proof choice for web images.
BMP
BMP is an uncompressed raster image format that stores pixel data without quality loss. BMP files are very large compared to modern formats. Use BMP conversion primarily when you need a simple, uncompressed format for legacy applications or specific software requirements.
GIF
GIF is a palette-based format limited to 256 colors, best suited for simple graphics and animations. Static GIF conversion uses PNG encoding as a fallback since browsers do not natively support GIF encoding. For animated content, consider converting to animated WebP for better compression and quality.
